Backstory: [ Manga Spoilers ] Minami Terano was a Japanese child who grew up in the slums of the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His mother was ill and young Minami's only source of comfort was an out of tune piano. He became very passionate about classical music.
A man, Dino, took care of his mother and taught Minami how to survive in the favelas even though he was a foreign child. Dino introduced him to violence and soon Minami knew the harsh reality, at only 5 years old Minami had to kill for Dino his rivals using a gun. Dino was like a king in that town.
With his first kill, young Minami bought a pair of shoes and soon learned to survive of the "benefits" of violence.
Dino gave Minami a new name, so he became "South" Terano.
When he was 12 years old, a tragic event occurred: South was covered with Dino's blood, which was beaten to death by South himself probably in the rage of the moment, in tears. He earned the nickname of the "Tyrant" Terano and became the gang leader of the Dino South.
At the age of 14, another tragic event occurred: a rival gang entered his home and shot him and his mother in revenge. South fought between life and death as his mother lost her life. Now without parents, South went to Japan to live with his grandparents.
Japan 2006, South was an inmate at the juvenile reformatory - on Feb. 24 in the same reformatory came former members of Yokohama's Tenjiku; the Haitani brothers from Roppongi, ninth generation Black Dragons ex-leader Shion Madarame and Mochizuki Kanji from Kawasaki. Former Toman member Yasuhiro Muto was also there.
South faced some bigwigs and if he was able to beat them all "he would be the strongest in Kanto", he wanted to create his new "era" in Japan. He defeated them all.
In 2007, South Terano was released after the others. In the same year he created the Rokuhara Tandai with first members the Haitani brothers Ran and Rindo, Shion and Mochi.
South wanted to enlist Kakucho, who was defeated in a fight. He admitted defeat and joined the Rokuhara Tandai under South's command. Kakucho was named the best fighter of the Rokuhara Tandai.

Present 2008, the Toman was disbanded two years ago and this brought huge changes. Because the Toman controlled the Kanto region the bosozoku gang world went crazy. Many gangs were born and others were defeated resulting in a "civil war" which period was called the "Sengoku period". However, three important figures put an end to this period; located in Minato is Terano South who represents Rokuhara Tandai, in Shinjuku is the mysterious captain of Brahman Kawaragi Senju, and Manjiro Sano in Shibuya as the captain of Tokyo Manji. Tokyo is divided into these three gangs and a balance was found called "the era of the three heavens". Unlike the kids from before, these gangs can be hired by companies to solve their problems.
Throughout the manga South talks about the dark impulses and refers to Mikey as someone who can understand him, "only those who love violence can understand these impulses" becoming a man lost in his own darkness.

Personality: South is confident in himself believing in his overwhelming strength. He had a short temper and tend to violently lash out at those who provoked him, no matter who they were. Along with his temperamental attitude, South had an obstructive behavior. He became a misled child because of his savage upbringing in the impoverished sector of Rio de Janeiro, his hometown.
He became a individual blinded by his prideful personality.
South during the childhood became passionate about classical music and he used to play a out of tune piano. He became a cruel individual even victim of a system.
He enjoy inflicting pain on others for irrational reasons and constantly exhibited a superiority complex toward his peers. For these reasons, South had no qualms about killing at all. South tends to say what Italian words or phrases in reference to some classical music terms every time he scores a hit.
Some of the words he shout are “Fortissimo” (ff) which translates to “very loud” (Chapter 211), "Forte" (f), "Vivace", "Allegro", "Vivo".

Apparence South is tall and muscular with slight foreign features who significantly dwarfed his companions. He had light hair often kept in a bun, piercing light round eyes that contributed to his intimidating demeanor, and a wide prominent grin on his face. He bore a Brazilian tribal tattoo design on the rightmost side of his chest that extended up to his neck and a gunshot wound on the left. South was most often seen wearing the traditional Rokuhara Tandai uniform, but would habitually go shirtless from time to time.
At five years old, South had average height and a slender build. He had platinum clean-cut hair and walked around barefoot. As he grew, he distinctly gained more muscle. He shaved his hair at twelve years old, but eventually grew it out to its relatively short length before his death. [ source: Wiki ]

Background and Trivia: Japanese migration to Brazil is celebrated annually on the anniversary of 18 June 1908, the date when the Japanese ship Kasato-Maru arrived in the port of Santos, south of Sao Paulo, carrying the first 781 people to take advantage of a bilateral agreement promoting migration.
Half of them were from the southern part of the island of Okinawa, located about 640km south of the rest of Japan, which had its own distinct language and culture dating back to before the island's annexation by Tokyo in 1879.
Today, Brazil is home to the world's largest community of Japanese descendants outside of Japan, numbering about 1.5 million people. Japanese authorities promoted emigration as a national policy until the late 1960s to alleviate poverty and overpopulation and encouraged people from rural areas in particular to seek work abroad.
There had been earlier policies to send migrants to work as labourers in the Hawaiian sugarcane fields, on the US mainland and Canada's West Coast and, to some extent, in Mexico but they proved short-lived as those countries adopted restrictions on immigration. Tokyo soon started looking for opportunities further south.
Brazil, where slavery had been abolished in 1888, was looking for cheap labour to work in the coffee plantations of its south-east.
Japanese migrants filled that gap but quickly many realised they could earn more by working their own land.
The community soon prospered working the rich, arable lands of Sao Paulo state, where they revolutionised agricultural techniques, growing a variety of vegetables, rice and greens, some of which they introduced to the country.
Unlike in their homeland, where the Japanese authorities banned the Okinawan language following the islands annexation, Okinawans living in Brazil were free to speak their language and celebrate their culture.
Back in Japan, its speakers are few and far between, prompting Unesco to add it to its list of endangered languages.

Brazil now has the largest Japanese-descendant population in the world outside of Japan, and it is at its most visible in the famous Liberdade district of Sao Paulo, with its red painted archways and Japanese restaurants.
But when Brazil's economy hit troubled times in the 1980s, this process went into reverse and descendants of Japanese immigrants began to look to Japan, the country of their parents or grandparents, as a land of opportunity.
Initially some went with tourist visas, but in 1990 Japanese law was changed to allow descendants of Japanese citizens long-stay visas and the right to work.

  • Do not dry reply / banter reply at a semi-lit or lit RP Banter is fine for a simple and casual interaction. Banter may happen in casual situation, but generally I don't feel motivated to continue or create situations neither I'm interested at mostly-only banter RP. Isn't necessary the same length!

  • My RP account isn't very crack or parody oriented

  • Mun under 17 years old: I'm 21+ and I'm a bit uncomfortable to write with people that are too young - we can still write, but I'd prefer someone older than 17 years old. If we interact It happen that some writers are minors, but I may not know because not specified. If I'm aware that someone is definitely too young I prefer DNI.

  • Do not force relationship ( family dynamic / friendship / romantic ) If isn't canon. My character isn't your brother, or your boyfriend , If isn't ok and decided by both writers. I don't plot romantic relationships dry at the beginning, but I want to build the chemistry

  • Do not god-modding / munching This rule is mostly for CPR- " Godmodding is a term used in two different ways, on one hand it’s a limited term used specifically for people who ignore physics and logic [...] Suddenly their 5 year old character is invincible when you punch them. [...] When you have legitimate reason to believe they are fully strapped down, they just dodge your attack. You can’t land anything, hurt them, outwit them, or stop them." ( source: RPedia. the role-play ). "[...] A character who is capable of getting out of any situation, with as little effort as possible, or a character who is too powerful for the rules of the game. [...] Even the relatively simple action of putting words in another characters mouth can be seen as God modding, or making a character perform an action that their player might disagree with, which is why you should usually check with another player if it’s okay to use their character. " (source: OngoingWorlds blog). This doesn't mean he's invincible, but neither easy to defeat with a move. Do not write for my muse as put words in his mouth or actions that aren't decided by both writers.

  • Do not push for replies Is totally fine to remind me we have a pending RPs, or for defining a plotting, or asking for a suggestion for the reply but sometimes It take me time before I answer: it can be because I need to distract myself, or I'm busy, or I need time for decide what to write. Please, tell me when you want to drop a RP too or If you dislike something.

  • If I give you a canon information, do not ignores it as non-canon, there's a reason why I provide a information in lore If you haven't read the manga you can tell me and I'll give you muse explanation

  • Do not kill my muse without my permission A deathmatch is a whole event. Fine is injury, fighting and angst

  • Do not meta-game: using knowledge that you as the mun know but your muse does not in an in-character interaction.

  • Do not ERP, DNI Erotic-RP account I don't write ERP and neither I want to interact with erotic role-play account.

  • Mary-Sues / Gary-Stus DNI: As always, these can be okay with enough backstory, history, and reasoning. However, is something very similar to godmodding and I prefer to avoid these character. Read about it here

  • Muse don't equate mun My muse may be often brutish, violent and canonically consider a villain. I don't condone anything that my muse do or have done, but I don't want neither to hold myself for accomplish someone else and I try as much as I can to be trustful at my own portrayal. I recognize that some people don't role-play certain topics so please tell me always If you have triggers or situation you don't feel comfortable to role-play (check the cw section for the topics ). Do not act offended as mun If my muse acted based on his alignment.

  • I'm fine with, but I'd prefer less aesthetic replies If is your style is totally fine and I'm ok at writing with you, but I have hard time understand what I'm reading with many different fonts or emoji - I'm not English native and sometimes I need to translate some parts, when it come to excessive aesthetic writing I may have some difficulties

  • Please, communication is everything in a RP and plotting Do not act offended OOC for something my muse did or said, or pretend I know what's going on If something isn't right in our RPs. Do not bright or start useless dramas OOC for that - a good RPs is based also on good communication. If I noticed you clearly act like that, I would drop our interaction even OOC. If i'm very uncomfortable over OOC stuff, I may sb or block. Absolutely do not push on my in dms using someone else, I don't want to interact If I blocked someone, so respect that and move on.

  • DNI who send hate about portraying a villain, just ignores/sb/block me and walk away

All the following topics are under the mature contents umbrella term, I don't condone, not glorify or romanticize these topics or behavior - many of them are canon based about his past, his behavior or a situation or trying to fit logically the character. South had a very rough past with a lot of violence and he was raised in one of the poorest situations. Because the topics may be associated to some realities I don't want to romanticize or stereotyping these realities or victims of a system. If I write something inaccurate I didn't on purpose and I apologize, please tell me politely in DM.
I'm not an apologist neither I want to be hated for the character I decided to portray - If you don't like it or feel uncomfortable with it, just mute/sb me or avoid to interact. Due to the nature of some topics in the account I don't want to interact with minors especially under 17 years old, as said in the BYI /DNI section.
The following topics may be mentioned or portrayed in the account, even If not solely or only - but be aware that may be present:

  • Violence

  • Murder [ narrated or mentioned ]

  • Drug [ ex; trafficking ]

  • Use of firearms

  • Organized crimes and gang related crimes

  • Childhood traumas

  • Explotation, possible abduction, extortion and similar crimes

  • Brutality in general
